How To Use
Protecting Yourself
Apply protective coating of petroleum jelly to hairline, nape and skin area. Using an application brush, gently part hair into four section.
Wearing protective gloves, start application, at the nape area by applying relaxer cream as close to the scalp as possible.
Continue in thin sections, moving in the direction of the forehead. Upon reaching the forehead, repeat the procedure for the other half of the head, applying the relaxer to the hairline last. After relaxer is completely applied, begin smoothing in the nape area where the relaxer was first applied. Smooth hair for several strokes and continue to the next section in same pattern where relaxer cream was applied next. Repeat this procedure until the hair is completely relaxed.
Style your hair as desired. Your hair is now detangled, conditioned; feeling soft, silky and strong.
Rinse: When desired relaxation has been obtained, rinse the hair thoroughly with a strong force of warm water until the hair is free of all traces of the cream relaxer.
Neutralize:Keep hair in straight form. Do not manipulate the hair during shampooing, Use non alkaline shampoo (ph7.0 or less) .
Give at least two shampoos, rinsing well after each shampoo.
Soak the excess water from the hair with towel.
Your hair is now relaxed and straight with natural glossiness feeling soft, silky and strong.
Note: If patron shows any discomfort or stinging sensation during the allocated time, rinse off the relaxer immediately.
Preliminary Strand Test: Apply a small amount of ShoHan relaxer to several strands of hair from roots to ends. Smooth with finger until desired results are obtained. Do not leave relaxer on hair for longer than the recommended time (See timing guide). Wash and rinse shampoo and towel dry the relaxed section only. Observe relaxation of hair or any damage to hair. If tests shows hair breakage or other signs of damage, do not use product until hair has been reconditioned and retested.
Maximum Timing Guide for Step 1 (Application and Relaxation): Coarse Texture: 15-20 Minutes ,Medium Texture: Fine Texture, Color Treated (or Bleached ). Do not apply
Caution: Read instructions carefully, before use. Keep away from children. If swallowed accidentally, consult a physician immediately. Wear Gloves while using.
Warning:
- The product contains sodium hydroxide (lye). Use the product as per the instruction; to avoid skin and scalp burns, hair loss and eye injury.
- Do not use if the scalp is irritated or injured beforehand.
- Do not use on bleached, color treated, and breaking, splitting or damaged hair.
For the hair which have been colored permanently and show no signs of damage, use mild strength formula only if preliminary strand test is acceptable.
- If hair has been relaxed previously, relax only the new growth, as described in the directions.
- If the relaxer causes skin or scalp irritation, rinse out immediately and wash with a non-alkaline shampoo (pH 7). If irritation persists or if hair loss occurs, consult a physician.
- If the relaxer gets in the eyes, rinse immediately and consult a doctor.
The product contains alkali agent. Avoid contact with eyes, can cause blindness. Keep away from children. The product can cause breakage and loss of hair.
Read Carefully Before Use
- Read the instruction carefully before starting the application process.
- Do apply pre-crème or lubricant to hairline, nape and skin area to avoid burning of the skin.
- Wear protective gloves while applying the cream.
- Apply relaxer to new growth only when doing touch up.
- Do not apply relaxer to scalp or other skin parts.
- Do not let the product stay in hair for more than prescribed time mentioned in the directions.
- Do not wet hair, shampoo or brush hair before relaxing.
- Do not use heat in any step of the process except for the final blow drying.
